Hometown series (1980–1998)

I take pride in being from the inner mountain region of Shuili, a rural township in central Taiwan. The land that shaped my honest and modest personality has my deepest love. I feel fortunate to have been born and raised in Shuili for the rare and memorable experiences it provided me. The images of the temples, rivers, and my mother that I associate with my hometown have become a means of alleviation and cure whenever I am faced with frustration, with emotional and mental distress in the path of my life.
